Here are a couple of highlights from our summer already! Robs aunt and uncle from Mississippi took a little vacation (probably from melting in the heat of the south) and blessed us all with a Cajun Boil! There is nothing like fresh shrimp from the sea.

One afternoon Rob thought it was a good idea to let the boys run around in a mud puddle by our house... lets just say he got to clean up :)

The last picture is evidence that we either have really big gophers or this is the beginning of our deck! We are so excited to have family and friends over to enjoy it with us!

Growing Boys

Where does time go? Owen will be 1 next month!!!! It is hard to believe a year ago we were just about to welcome another little bundle of joy into our family. Now, that bundle of joy has four chompers (and he knows how to use them) and is experimenting with walking. When he feels brave he will take a few steps on his own.

Dylan is excited for this next week... he will be registering for preschool. He has been so excited to go to school. Our house is across the street from the elementary school and he watches the kids walk to school everyday. Dylan took a lot of pride in picking out mommy's Valentine's Day balloon. I guess he circled the gift store for almost an hour, found the perfect balloon... a HUGE monkey holding a heart, and then, as the lady was blowing the balloon up.... it popped. So..... he settled for a HUGE flower balloon. It was priceless when he walked into my office with a balloon that easily doubled him in size. His smile equaled the size of the balloon!

The newest addition to our home has been a time and life saver, a treadmill. So, what goes along with a new treadmill? Remodeling... we have a good size unfinished room in our basement, which Rob is finishing to make it into an exercise room. Did I hear nerve wracking????

I have been SLACKING!

So clearly I have been slacking when I looked at our blog and it said last updated 5 months ago! YIKES! Oh well, here a few pictures from Thanksgiving when all the kids piled into Dylan's room to sleep... surprisingly it turned out very well! Below, Dylan and Owen had fun with shaving cream pictures. This could be a potential halloween costume next year.

It's a GIRL!

This is another new addition to our family.  Kenai belonged to a family who could no longer keep her because they were moving into an apartment that did not allow pets.  She is an 11 month old Alaskan Malamute.  She is such a good dog and loves the kids.  We will be moving to our new home in the middle of July and I am sure her and Riley are going to love the fenced in back yard!
Owen is growing and growing.  At his 2 month apointment he was in the 95th percentile in height and weight.

Dylan is a great big brother.  He continues to get better with Owen.  It is hard to teach a three old how to play with a 2 month old.  As you can see many cars a driven over Owen.
Rob and I have been busy with camps this summer.  Soon we will start fall camps for the seasons and then it will be hard to reach us!

Well, Owen finally arrived!!!  After being a couple days overdue, Owen joined us on April 13, 2009 at 12:18 pm.  He was 7lbs 10oz and 19 1/2 in.
We had Owen's 2 week apointment and he as grown 3 inches and has gained 2 pounds! WOW!!!!  He is a good eater!

Dylan is ,well how do I put this, adjusting to being a big brother.  He finds a few more things to get into and tries new innovative tricks for getting our attention.  What can we say, he is high spirited.  Overall, he is a great big brother.

Dylan had a very busy and exciting Valentine's weekend at Grandma and Grandpa's!
He spent the week before gearing up to play with his cousin David. He is going to be a great big brother!

Aunt Lindsey, Ricky, Mom and Dad, and Grandma and Grandpa took Dylan bowling. Not surprising, he did better than most!

Dylan also had a very special treat! Ricky took him to the airport to see the planes he flies! Dylan even sat in a helicopter! I think he would make a great pilot!

Hello!!  We decided to jump on the band wagon and join the blogging world!

Well, as we anxiously await the arrival of baby #2 (don't worry, not till the beginning of April!) we will post pictures and updates of Dylan!

Speaking of anxiously awaiting, Dylan has found a new love for babies.  He loves to play with his new baby cousins (yes, there are 3 recent ones) however, his stuffed puppy dog has become his new baby.  He is practicing on how to be a great big brother, he even changes diapers!

Dylan has had a very busy fall already.  He frosted Halloween cookies with his cousins, Andrew, Leah, Kate, and Rachel.  I think more frosting went in their mouth then on the cookies!! He carved pumpkins with grandma and grandpa, and had a busy night trick-or-treating.  Dylan also went to great grandma Martha's house!  He loves playing her organ... he is going to be a great musician.  Thank goodness there is volume control!

Since roasting marshmallows outside has come to a screeching halt... they have taken it up inside at the fireplace!  It is much warmer!
